Amazing Popcorn Flavor: Kettle CornIt’s challenging to write a review about a quart of popcorn flavor, but I’ll give it a try since I truly enjoy this product. I used to dislike making my own popcorn, but then I accidentally got a popcorn machine. Surprisingly, it became one of my most beloved snacks, and I am amazed by how much better it is to make it at home compared to using a microwave. Additionally, I am constantly impressed by how cost-effective it is to make. One of my favorite popcorn flavors is Kettle Corn. This is no secret as many of my favorite foods have both sweet and salty tastes (e.g., deviled eggs, chicken salad, marinara sauce). The combination of sweet and salty is always a hit for me. I purchased this to use with other ingredients I use to make popcorn of various flavors. For my popcorn, I primarily use two brands: Great Northern or Bob’s Red Mill. Without a doubt, Bob’s is my preferred brand, and I use it exclusively for Kettle Corn. It is undoubtedly one of the top-quality popcorns on the market. For making popcorn, I use high-quality coconut oil and sometimes add sea salt, freshly ground pepper, Old Bay, and chili powder. Kettle Corn adds a nice twist to my popcorn preferences if I have been eating Old Bay or chili pepper popcorn. Many people prefer more salt, and while you can always add more, you cannot take it away. Cleanup can be a minor hassle, but the mix itself makes it worth the effort. I find that Gold Medal goes easy on the salt, which is something that can always be adjusted, but you cannot remove it easily.I concur with other users who appreciate more salt. My hypothesis is that Gold Medal intentionally uses less salt to create a greater need for added salt, similar to how some other foods have more salt to enhance their taste. While I cannot fault them for this, it does make cleaning up more challenging. However, the taste of the popcorn is so delicious that the additional effort is worthwhile. Bar Keeper’s Friend makes cleaning up a breeze, making the process less tedious. If you love Kettle Corn, this is a must-have. It may not be as good when prepared using different methods as my experience has been with popcorn made in an actual popcorn machine. However, if you use a popcorn machine, the outcome will be exceptional. Without hesitation, I recommend Bob’s Red Mill popcorn for making Kettle Corn. The consistency of Bob’s Red Mill popcorn is unparalleled, and the kernels pop almost simultaneously and in a predictable manner. This consistency is crucial for making great Kettle Corn, as leaving it in the machine for too long can cause the mixture to burn, altering the flavor and taste of the Kettle Corn.
Kettle Corn Recipe My children and I have always loved kettle corn, and we enjoy making it at home. Using regular sugar often leads to burning. I used to love a simple product called ‘Sweet Butter’ sold by Target. I haven’t found this product in years and haven’t ordered it for a long time. I decided to try this product, and I am glad I did. It tastes great. The preparation is also very simple; just make sure you don’t use too much heat and follow the instructions. Use medium or low heat; otherwise, things will start to burn. Cleaning isn’t too difficult if you clean up promptly. If you do it in time, it’s easy to complete. I use oil in my popcorn maker, put in half a cup of corn kernels, and then add 1/4 cup of the mixture. There is a little bit of salt in the mixture, but I think it’s not enough, so I usually add more salt to adjust the taste. If you don’t like salt, this product should suit you well. Update I still like this product. Cleaning is a bit more tedious compared to normal quick wipes, but it’s not too difficult if you clean up promptly. You may need to use a plastic scraper to scrape the popcorn from your popper in a few places. I held the pot with oven mitts and operated directly over the trash pile to quickly pour out the popped corn. Don’t wait until the corn stops popping before removing the heater, or you’ll burn it. You need to practice several times to determine when to remove the heater and pour out the corn. Add salt as soon as possible because the corn needs to be poured out before it cools and solidifies. The corn is very hot. If you are a serious popcorn enthusiast, try making some of your usual popcorn and this product. Put them in a paper bag, add salt, and shake well. I think this is an ideal combination of sweet and salty. I would also like to add that after adding the oil and a few popcorn kernels, I add the mixture. When these popcorn kernels pop, I know the oil is hot. Then I pour in the sugar and seeds, which I have already measured in proportion and placed in a small bowl waiting for the oil to heat up. This works very well.
